Last night I held my granddaughter in my arms for the first time. It was magical! I was drawn in by her warmth, her enchanting gaze, her soft hair, her newborn smell… She is perfection, a divine masterpiece on God’s holy canvas. I am honored to have the opportunity to love her, cherish her and bless her on her earthly journey.
Today I grabbed a cookbook from a shelf in the kitchen. I saw that it was given to me by my own grandmother. I saw her handwriting and my eyes instantly filled with tears. I miss her. I pray that I can touch Leya’s life the way my own grandparents touched mine. It is time to give back what was given to me and create a sacred space in my heart for a new generation.
“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven… For He hath made everything beautiful in His time: also He hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from beginning to the end.”Ecclesiastes 3: 1 & 11 (KJV)
